zenseeker - I've been wrestling with this recently. These dolls seem to offer a sense of control, but is that truly empowerment, or just a performance? Does the expectation of achieving 'tightness' actually foster a feeling of agency, or does it simply develop a pressure to conform to an unrealistic ideal?
